Dongfeng Wrecker Truck is a specialized road-rescue and vehicle-recovery truck designed for towing, loading, transporting and recovering passenger cars, SUVs, vans, pickups, light trucks and medium commercial vehicles. The vehicle combines a reliable Dongfeng commercial chassis with a hydraulic sliding flatbed, telescopic wheel-lift underlift, hydraulic winch, reinforced recovery subframe and hydraulic control system, allowing damaged, disabled or accident vehicles to be safely loaded and transported. Different Dongfeng chassis platforms are available for light- and medium-duty recovery applications. Common engine configurations include approximately 115HP, 120HP, 140HP, 170HP and 190HP, while representative Dongfeng flatbed wreckers provide approximately 3–8 ton flatbed capacities. Dongfeng D6 and Duolika chassis are suitable for light urban recovery, while larger D9 and Tianjin chassis provide higher loading and towing capacity for commercial vehicles. Representative 190HP Dongfeng D9 recovery trucks use an 8-speed transmission and can be configured with large recovery platforms for multi-vehicle transportation. The hydraulic flatbed slides backward and tilts toward the ground to provide a low loading angle. A hydraulic winch pulls disabled vehicles onto the platform, while the rear telescopic underlift can lift the front or rear axle of another vehicle for towing. Depending on recovery requirements, the vehicle can be configured as a one-to-one or one-to-two recovery truck with different platform, underlift and winch capacities. Representative Dongfeng recovery platforms range from approximately 5.4m to more than 7m in length.

- 115HP, 120HP, 140HP, 170HP and 190HP configurations provide flexible solutions for passenger vehicles, vans, pickups, light trucks and medium commercial vehicles. Representative Dongfeng recovery trucks range from compact 115HP Duolika models to 190HP D9 platforms with larger recovery bodies and heavier axles. The hydraulic sliding flatbed allows disabled or accident-damaged vehicles to be pulled onto the platform using a hydraulic winch, while approximately 7–10° low loading angles are available on representative recovery systems to improve loading of low-clearance or non-running vehicles. The rear hydraulic underlift allows another vehicle to be lifted by its wheels or axle for towing, enabling flatbed transportation and wheel-lift towing to be combined in one vehicle. Different underlift capacities, wheel forks and towing accessories can be selected according to the recovered vehicle. Approximately 3–8 ton recovery-platform configurations cover different operating requirements, while flatbeds from approximately 5.4m to more than 7m are available for light vehicles, commercial vehicles and extended transportation applications.
