Dongfeng T5 Water Tanker Truck is a medium- and heavy-duty water transportation vehicle designed for construction projects, mining operations, municipal engineering, industrial sites, agriculture and remote-area water supply. The vehicle combines a reliable Dongfeng T5 commercial chassis with a reinforced large-capacity water tank, PTO-driven water pump, pipelines, valves and filling/discharge equipment for efficient bulk-water transportation. The truck can be supplied as a pure water tanker for water loading, transportation and discharge, or equipped with an optional water sprinkler system for road watering, mine-road dust suppression, construction-site dust control, municipal cleaning and landscape irrigation. Customers can select only the required spraying equipment according to actual project conditions. Dongfeng T5 water tanker trucks are available with 4×2 and 6×4 chassis configurations. Common engine options include approximately 210HP, 240HP, 260HP and 290HP, while tank capacities of approximately 12CBM, 15CBM, 20CBM and 25CBM can be configured according to chassis payload, road conditions and local regulations. Carbon-steel and stainless-steel tanks are available.

The vehicle can be supplied as a pure water tanker, focusing on bulk-water loading, transportation and discharge. This configuration is suitable for construction camps, mining sites, factories, agricultural projects and remote areas where the main requirement is transporting large volumes of water rather than road sprinkling. For customers requiring dust control or municipal sanitation, a complete sprinkler system can be added as an option. Front sprinklers, rear sprinklers, side sprays, duckbill nozzles, road-flushing nozzles and rear water cannons can be configured according to operating requirements. 4×2 configurations are suitable for approximately 12–15CBM applications requiring better maneuverability, while 6×4 chassis can support approximately 15–25CBM tanks for higher-volume construction, mining and industrial water transportation. The PTO-driven self-priming centrifugal pump allows the truck to draw water directly from ponds, reservoirs, storage tanks or other external water sources. Pump discharge and gravity discharge provide flexible water-delivery options for projects where fixed water-supply infrastructure is limited. Multiple internal anti-wave baffles reduce water surge during acceleration, braking and cornering, helping improve vehicle stability when transporting a full tank.
